1st Choice Credit Union is a HUD approved intermediary Home Counseling Agency committed to increasing homeownership, particularly among minorities; creating affordable housing opportunities for low-income individuals/families. We also offer special down-payment assistance for; people with disabilities, individuals working in the health care industry, police, fire and/or sheriff's department.

By completing our program; a series of one-on-one counseling sessions and one homebuyer education workshop, you will be prepared to apply for down payment funding offered by our community partners:

Atlanta Development Authority up to $45,000
Atlanta Cooperative Development Corporation $4,000
Georgia Department of Community Affairs up to $20,000
Renewal Community/ACORA up to $35,000

Understanding the home buying process can be a challenging experience for a first time homebuyer. Purchasing a home is one of the most valuable investments a family will ever make. However, being more informed prior to making that purchase typically eases the home buying experience and ultimately strengthens the borrower's ability to obtain and maintain their American Dream of homeownership.
